Then put your mods/cc from the old mods folder into the newly generated mods folder, Then test to see if the issues remain in the new mods folder. Launch the game, and a new mods folder will be generated. Try moving your mods folder to the desktop. I am sorry that you are having these issues. There is some settings in the properties that I was looking at.īut it didn't fix it I can get screenshots, if that will explain things better. Also - I did try to look into the settings for "hidden folders" and everything that I tried didn't make the folder's that are "appearing hidden" appear. It's not doing this anywhere but inside my Sims 4 folder that's why I'm confused and trying to find out what happen. But the option is not there inside my Mods folder and I feel like that's why the folders are disappearing. Now, on my desktop - if I right-click on it and go to new, the option to create a folder IS there. The folder disappears and then the content that was in that folder goes into the "mods folder" but the folder is no longer visible and the option still is no longer available - also my "create a briefcase" option is also gone.

Also I do apologize again as I did not know where I should even post this because I know it's not related to mods itself but rather to the mod - thank you for the reply and for the advice, unfortunately I had already tried the "creating a folder on my desktop or in another folder" putting the folder into the mods folder and stated that above that it doesn't work. I'm not sure that this is even a mod problem. I just dragged and dropped 3 folders into my mods folder.ĭid you ever figure out a solution? My PC is in Swedish but you can see where my folders are leftside (my computer >photos) rightside (Sims 4>mods) You don't want to mess with your game generated mods folder, just leave that alone, I have my mods folder organized, this is how I did it, I use the place where I can save my photos on my PC for my separate mods/CC folders, you can create new folders there, just rename them and drag and drop your mods/CC in the folders of your choice, then just drag those folders into your Sims 4 mods folder.

The option is there for creating new folders on my desktop, but when it comes to Sims 4 specific folder, I cannot create any subfolders.
